Great color and very attractive piece of furniture. However, end of metal bed frame was bent so the holes on the headboard would not line up for assembly. It took three people to assemble; one to hold up the headboard, one to bend back the leg so the holes would line up, and one to screw in the screws. In the process, one of the headboard posts cracked. It is in a spot that you can't see so we decided to keep rather than return because it is very attractive.

We bought this for our toddler to grow into, and it's a great bed for this purpose. With a low-profile boxspring, it's perfect for a little guy, but the style is timeless, so hopefully it'll be perfect for him when he's a teen too. We're happy with it. Cons: it is NOT as pictured in terms of the stain. It's more of light cherry. Still quite nice, but not the match we were hoping for the furniture we already had. Also, it does NOT include siderails, just the head and footboards and a frame, so you definitely do need some sort of bedskirt or it looks funny.

Nice headboard - simple and straight forward.

Turns out though, it's not a "light colored oak" like they are advertising. It's too dark. It's more on the lines of medium Walnut in color. It's not just the polyurethaned, non-stained, clear coated, light oak, very common to North American oak furniture.

Unfortunately, it looks as though there may be a communication problem with the manufacturer, or the seller is drop shipping a different color, unaware of what they are showing and describing.

I'd return it, but it's too much of a hassle, and I destroyed the packaging to get it out, and assembled. If you do have the light oak, clear coated type furniture, this headboard does NOT match by a long shot!

If you have light to medium Walnut, go for it!

The photo online here looks just like what I thought it would be, but it does not look like the photo!

Nicely constructed product, but they need to update the color description to medium Walnut and change their photo in order to be more accurate and fair to their customer.

Hopefully, they will take this as constructive criticism and not block this review.

All they need to do to make this product line up with their description is have their manufacturer not stain the wood with a Walnut looking stain, which completely contrasts with the underlying non-stained, light oak looking wood that you can see in areas like the drill holes, and just clear coat it!

That would make it match the photos!

A final guess is that their supplier went and changed the color on them, or they are shipping some other retailer's custom product as a supplier mix up!
