I bought this headboard for about $100 cheaper by doing an internet search on nextag (or a similar search engine). I already owned a cast iron headboard/footboard which I loved and was looking for something similar for when we upgraded from a Queen to a King size. DO NOT HESITATE to get this one - Coronado. It is simply gorgeous, and you are paying for the workmanship in it. The castings are really well-done. The color is a very dark brown - it almost looks black, and the castings have a greenish patina look in the crevices. I would say the finish of the enamel is slightly shiny - not dull, not shiny, but just right. We ordered the headboard only and we could not be more pleased. The only thing which is a bit odd is that the bottoms of the legs do not quite touch the floor when attached to the frame. The frame we had is Legget & Platt, and Fashion Bed Group is a division of the same company. It's not a big deal though, and definitely not a deal breaker. I can only comment on the actual headboard because we ordered from a different source, and we had problems with the third-party delivery service. Bottom line: If it is a decision between this one and another one, get this one! It is worth the extra $$ and I think you get what you pay for in terms of quality. I have seen other headboards and footboards where you could see the sloppy welding job. Not so on the Coronado.

Delivery was made 5 days from purchase, which included a holiday (!) which was much shorter than what was quoted on website.

needed to take the wheels off of the frame to get it to fit which makes it harder to move around

I own a home that I have furnished and turned into a business as a short term rental. I purchased this bed in twin with footboard for one of the guest rooms, hoping it would be as attractive as the 2nd twin that was already in the room. The bed needed to be both beautiful and sturdy. This bed is beautiful! I am using it with antique furniture I already owned and it blends in very nicely. The frame is sturdy and overall it was easy to assemble. That said, I had to add a rubber mallet and a regular wrench to the tools that came with the bed. The allen wrench provided did not tighten up the bolts enough and the feet on the frame needed a little help from the mallet to sit properly. All in all a really lovely addition to my room!
