The bed includes bed rails and wood slat roll mattress supports that eliminate the need for box springs or bunkie boards. The Hi-Lo adjustable locking system allows the bed to work safely with or without a box spring. The Hi-lock position raises the bed to accommodate under bed storage or sleep options.
